What Are Anti Ad Blockers

Anti-Ad block

Many websites and blogs earn through advertisements. However, several users are now blocking advertisements on their browsers. This is because not all advertisements are safe. Some would lead you to malware infected sites or links that would cause various problems including annoying pop-ups and privacy risks. Website owners that rely on advertisements on the other hand lose earnings because of users blocking ads, which could lead to loss of their business.

What are Ad Blockers?

Ad blockers as the term suggests are programs designed to block advertisements on websites. Since the number of digital advertisements has increased over the past years, the number of people using ad blockers also went up. Around 150 million people are using ad blockers nowadays. Aside from the privacy risks that these advertisements could cause, another reason why these ads are being blocked is that people just want instant access to the content they are looking for and not be bothered by advertisements. These ad blockers usually do not have a white list feature that would allow ads on trusted sites. They work by blocking ads on all websites.

What are Anti Ad Blockers?

Anti ad blockers are the answer of website and blog owners that rely on advertisements for their earnings on the ad blocker problems. These ad blockers typically work by determining which of the visitors are using ad blockers. This could help them know if the site has several users that have ad blockers, which prevent advertisements from showing. From there, appropriate action can be made.

These anti ad blockers offer varying features. Some would notify users to disable their ad blockers to view the site’s content. This is a fair alternative for both sides. Site owners spend time, effort and resources to provide people with their content for free. The content can be given without a cost because they are paid by advertisers. With ads being blocked, owners would lose their earnings, which could lead to their site shutting down, if they do not earn from it. By asking users to allow ads in order for them to gain access to the content, the decision would still be up to the users. If they really want to see the content and they trust the site, they can always disable their ad blocker for it. Other anti ad blockers would redirect users to another site that’s similar to it. Users will not be able to see the specific content that they are looking for on that site if their ad blocker is enabled.

Other sites offer paid subscription to users that would allow them to gain access to the contents without advertisements. This is one way for them to still earn and allow users who prefer not to disable their ad blockers to access their content. Moreover, they are still earning from mobile users as of now since only a small percentage of them use ad blockers on their smartphones.

Users must also consider the fact that in order for these sites to continue operating, they need to earn, which they can get from advertisers. However, it’s also understandable that users do not want anything that would infect their computers or put their privacy at risk. This is why site owners must also consider the ads that they would be adding on their websites and ensure they are safe.
